When you are in Christ and Christ is in you, you’ve got power. That means that you have authority. Before Jesus left the earth, He endued you with power. You have the exact same authority that Jesus had when He was on this earth. Jesus said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19) We have the right to step on the devil’s head and to command him to stay out of our property, our children, and anything else that we have dominion over. And God has given us dominion over everything. The Word states “Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.” That means that all things are under our authority (rule) and we have the license to call into being things that we want done in our lives. We have the right to call those things that be not as though they were. (Rom.4:17) In other words, we call those things into being by faith and God brings them to pass.
Satan does not have the right to run roughshod over your life, doing whatever he wants to do. When Jesus died on the cross, He made an open spectacle of satan and took back the dominion that he had stolen from Adam when Adam had sinned in the Garden. Adam lost the dominion, but Jesus got it back and gave it to us to use.
All power is contained in the Name of Jesus. Jesus said, ” All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” (Matt.28:18) When you use the Name of Jesus, heaven backs you up. The Lord God Almighty backs you up. There is no greater name given upon the earth than the Name of Jesus. ” Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;” (Phil.2:9,10)
We have the power to set people free with the Name of Jesus. Those that are bound can be delivered by the power of your prayers as you use the authority given to every believer by the Word of God. The bible says that the Word of God is quick and powerful. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividiig asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb.4:12)
When you use your power in Christ, you transcend the prevailing circumstances and heaven’s resources are at your command. God is just waiting for us to use the power that we have in Christ. So, use it.
Using your power is putting the devil on the run. He is running from you. He fears you when you use the power given to you. The weakest saint is more than a match for satan as he or she uses their power.
I challenge you to use what you’ve got and that is the power of God. He will be by your side as you make your stand and the enemy will go down in defeat.
Oh, blessed be the Name, and the power, of the Lord.
